The ROSSO restaurant in Linz invites talented gastronomic personalities to participate in the “Symphony of the Sea” project. To create something new in the kitchen together and be inspired by new compositions.

Do you work in haute cuisine and want to create something unique? Do you have hundreds and thousands of culinary ideas that you would like to turn into reality? Do you have experience with fish and seafood or would you like to further your education in the field of gastronomy? If so, you are the right person for us and we would like to invite you to ROSSO di Acqua e Sole in Linz, in Austria.

What is Symphony of the Sea?

ROSSO di Acqua e Sole is a renowned seafood restaurant in the new central district of Linz, in the middle of the European Capital of Culture 2009, in the heart of Austria.

The idea behind Symphony of the Sea  is to bring gastronomic personalities from different cultural regions and nationalities together and create a common work. The goal is to create a culinary experience in 7 courses using dishes that have one common fundamental keynote: Seafood and fish.

Meanwhile, Georg Wiesinger, the composer, will compose a piece of music inspired by the individuals who create the dishes.

Thus, this personal story of yours will become part of the musical piece that is composed in parallel.

What is ROSSO di Acqua e Sole?

ROSSO di Acqua e Sole is a well-known seafood restaurant in Linz managed by Ingmar Goetzloff. The restaurant has received numerous awards from reputable gastronomic experts such as A La Carte and Falstaff. The name of this restaurant says it all: ROSSO stands for Passion, ACQUA for the Sea and SOLE for the Terrain.

As hosts, our concept is to invite people into our ROSSO lounge and provide them with  good time. Culture is ubiquitous in the ROSSO lounge. In the form of good interaction with our guests, colleagues and friends. However music is also very important to us: relaxed jazz sets the mood, various musical instruments such as piano, saxophone and guitar are freely available to all music-loving guests and friends for a spontaneous concert. And of course, at ROSSO, exquisite meals, sophisticated drinking and dining culture are the most important aspects.

Who is our target audience?

At Symphony of the Sea, we are looking for talented chefs from all parts of Europe and beyond to participate in creating novelties in the field of fish and seafood: Be it Italy, Portugal, France, Spain or Austria, Germany, Scandinavia or even overseas – we look forward to all those who want to create something different with us.

Our cuisine itself is international, we speak fluent German, Italian and English. And our kitchen is an exciting experimental laboratory for culinary excellence, a free space for creative new developments. We always want to reinvent ourselves, try out new things and bring something innovative to the table. For example, we are one of the few restaurants in Austria that work highly successfully with dry-aged fish.

Share your experience and skills and develop even further in cooperation with your international colleagues.

What we offer

Join us at ROSSO di Acqua e Sole for at least 3 months (or longer) and cooperate with our professional team and other international gastronomy professionals. Develop new recipes, let your imagination run wild and create something unique.

The salary you receive for the Symphony of the Sea depends on your experience. Kindly tell us your salary expectations and we will try to find a way to meet your requests. There is no need to worry about board and lodging, these are of course free.
